To shift the focus of our Faith community through engaging activities by making the congregation more inclusive and inviting to our neighbors, becoming a Church that serves the community in union with local churches and organizations. OUR PASTORAL COUNCIL

-is an apostolic body representative of the People of God in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish.
In communication with one another and with the pastor, meet to deliberate and resolve in common agreement those matters for which we are responsible and which concern the good of the Church*.

All planning, reports, and progreams of the parish committees shall be built on the basic concept of making Christ known, loved, and swerved in every circumstance.

Any member of parish pastoral council may bring a matter for deliberatoni to a meeting. Any parishioner may bring a mtter for d=liberation to the attention of the parish pastoral coucil through any member prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.

Our 2010-2011 Council Members

	Becky Baker-Hall (06/2011) Has been very active in the church since 2007. She lives in Geneva Twp with her husband, Robert, sons Jonathan and Daniel and baby daughter, Josephine. Activies are Religious Education Secretary, Music Ministry, Grape Pie Baking Coordinator, member of Mom*Me*Time and the Neocatechuminal Way SCC groups, member of the Pro-Life, Catholic Marriage & Family Ministry, Stewardship Committee, Website, and volunteer. 	Larry Daly (06/2013) Has been a member of Assumption for 20 years. He lives with his wife, Sheryle, our Church organist, in Geneva. He has 5 grown boys and 12 grandchildren. Activities in the Parish: has served on parish Council, has served on Liturgy Commission, was a CCD teacher, helped with the Youth Ministry, helped organize ABVM Cub Scout Pack, sang in the choir, is a Church Sacristan, a Eucharistic Minister, and a Lector.		John Decker (06/2013) Has been a member of ABVM for 28 years. He lives in Harpersfield Twp with his wife Mary of 29yrs. They raised two children who attended ABVM school and both have graduated college. Activities in the Parish : He has served on parish Council, has served on finance committee, Bingo worker for 24 years, Festival worker for 20 years, Marriage Prep sponsor couple for 17 yrs, Confirmation Prep Class, and Eucharistic Minister
	Anthony Delia (06/2013) Grew up in Assumption Church and School. He lives in Saybrook Township with his Daughter Alexandra who is attending Assumption School. Activities in the Parish: member of Assumption School*s Parents Association, Bingo worker, volunteer at the turkey & ham raffles, worked in grape products booth during the town's annual festival. Mission House - Possibilities for the house next to the Rectory being discussed. Definitely needs to be self-sufficient.
