Music Ministry may be part of a choir, individual song leader, instrumentalist or cantor. At Assumption the 9AM Mass features more traditional organ music while the 4:30PM Vigil and 11AM Masses feature guitars and other instrumentation. At all the Masses it is important to have a Psalmist and a song leader/cantor and we are always looking for new talent to fill music roles.

CHOIR -
Assumption's Adult Choir is a dedicated group which sings weekly at the 9:00am Mass. Music choices are traditional and reflect the weekly themes of the mass. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Church choir loft under the direction of Dan Bergen and organist, Sheryle Daly.
VIP (voices in praise) is a group of guitarists and singers who lead the congregation in traditional and contemporary music at the Saturday 4:30pm and the Sunday 11:00am Masses. Practice is 30 minutes prior to Mass. Some performances may also on the schedule such as Geneva's Community Days, Assumption's Feast Day parish picnic, and concerts to raise money for the school/church and other ministries.
