1. Gloria: People sing only the refrain; cantor/choir sing verses. Later people will learn all.
2. we may do "Lamb of God" rather than the alternate words "bread of Life", "cup of hope", etc

Singing the Mass

The bishops also encourage singing the Mass which means the priest will sing (chant) his parts and we respond singing our responses. Here is a link to the NPM website to audio and printed Chant responses we will be learning. These are on the website of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and are free to download and listen and/or print. Note that this page will open in a new tab or window. When you are done, simply close the window in the usual way.

Throughout the coming year, we will introduce these new parts to the assembly so that by the end of the next church tear (November 2012) we will be able to sing all these parts. Note that the Lord's prayer has not changed and that is one setting we already know.
