NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING - A natural method of achieving or postponing pregnancy requiring no drugs, devices or surgical intervention. NFP is a scientifically proven and highly effective method using observations of changes in a woman’s body which identify times of fertility and infertility. NFP is not the rhythm method of yesteryear. It reflects the dignity of the human person within the context of marriage and family life, promotes openness to life, and recognizes the value of the child. By respecting the love-giving and life-giving natures of marriage, NFP can enrich the bond between husband and wife.
